Re: Race2themillion.com Series Planned
Events in 2010

RACE2THEMILLION.COM SERIES:
As I indicated in my original letter given to you at the 2009 race in Memphis, I have been working on a way to bring more outside money into bracket racing.  This process continues with the hope of introducing the program to you in mid January 2010.  When ready, the program will be outlined for you through our above referenced website, race2themillion.com.  So, it will be important that you continue to check the website for this important announcement.
Several of our thoughts in the original letter have been reviewed and decided changes were necessary.  I have decided to outline those changes to you in this ‘update’.
I am planning a (10-16) weekend series with races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Several locations have been identified but not yet confirmed.  The locations will be scattered throughout the States with at least one out West.  I will have up to 4 entry fee levels ranging from $20.00-$500.00, but everyone entered will race for the same purse. I will explain to all my program along with locations, dates, and how this program will be run.

*All winner payouts are pro‐rated based off of 100 cars*
These are Friday, Saturday, & Sunday pay outs
No buy backs reguardless of car count!

Race2theMillion.com Series Points Program
As mentioned in the original letter, I am considering a ‘points program’ that would have an additional payout schedule to the top 128 cars followed by a ‘championship race’.  You will be able to miss a few events and still have a shot at the top 128. ( example: based on a 10 weekend series we will base the points on your best 8 weekends & based on a 16 weekend series we will rate your best 12 weekends.) All of the top 128 cars will get $1,000 when they show up at the Million Dollar Race.  These cars will race for $195,000 with the payouts broken down as follows:
1)            2nd round loser                $750
2)            3rd round loser                 $1,500
3)            4th round loser                 $3,000
4)            5th round loser                 $6,000
5)            Semi loser                         $12,000
6)            Runner-up                        $25,000
7)            Winner                              $50,000

Standard NHRA rules apply in addition to Race2theMillion.com Series Rules
1.) No buy backs
2.) Diapers are mandatory. (Don’t ask)
3.) 1 driver, 1 time. (you don’t have to beat anyone twice)
4.) Two drivers may drive one car.
5.) 1 bye-run per driver. (unless everyone has had one)
6.)  If you win the round and break your car you can switch cars. (with the race directors approval) If you get caught switching cars without an approval you will be disqualified from the whole series. Also if there is time to try and fix your car you must do so.
7.) Reaction time decides the bye run and lane choice. (If there is a tie in reacts the bye will go to the closest over the dial, if your both under it goes to the closest to the dial.) On a tie for lane choice you will flip a coin.

8.)A ladder will start at 8 cars, a new ladder will be put into place after each round off of reaction times. The bye-run from the round before goes to the bottom of the ladder.

In closing more updates are scheduled for the first week of January, I want again to thank all those that participated in 2009.   I’m optimistic that the success of the ‘new’ program will allow for more participants to the race and a way to bring more outside money into bracket racing, via friends, family, neighbors, and any bracket racing fans.
At this time, I would like to thank George Howard who has made The Million Dollar Race a success over the past 14 years.  He is a friend that I will look to for support as I assume his responsibilities.  Thank you, George.

Merry Christmas to all!
Thank You, Randy Folk
